The application period has ended.
We have been preparing for Max Summer School 2021 on the assumption that it would be held face-to-face. But in light of recent situations, we have decided to make it a hybrid of face-to-face and online sessions. Participants can choose which format they prefer.
Please read the following guidelines carefully before applying.

After the application deadline, we will ask you whether you would like to take the course in face-to-face or online classes. We will hold a lottery based on your preference and notify you whether or not you will be accepted.
Response to the new coronavirus infection
However, depending on the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the future, we may decide to change or cancel the course content in order to prevent the spread of the infection and to ensure the safety of the participants.
In such cases, applicants and participants will be notified separately. The latest information will be posted on the website as soon as possible, so please be sure to check this page before applying.
About taking courses online
We will be using Zoom for online distribution. Please note that no refunds will be made in the event that the participant's internet environment interferes with the course.

Acquired private information shall be used for the purpose of managing our public lectures and informing us to participants, and be managed properly, based upon Private Information Protection Regulations of Tokyo University of the Arts.
If your application is accepted, we will let you know about the fee and how you need to pay with the advanced notice. You have to pay it until the fixed date mentioned in the notice.
The fee may change for some reasons, please pay the fee mentioned in the advanced notice.
All procedures has been completed once you pay the fee.
You cannot get any refund of the lecture fee.
You cannot get any refund of the supply fee, though if there’s special case, we may can give you some supplies.
If you cannot participate lectures and want to decline after you get the advance notice for the lecture, but before you pay the fee, please contact us necessarily.
We cannot pay for the deposit charge.
